Get Connected

Veritas is a church – a local gathering of people who love and trust Jesus. As followers of Jesus Christ, we long to see a world filled with people who love and trust Him. We pray that God changes us as a church, making us a people who know Him, believe Him, obey Him, enjoy Him, and proclaim Him to the ends of the earth to the praise of His glory.

The local church is God’s plan for making disciples. The local church is God’s ordained means for accomplishing His mission. Organized biblically, the local church is the specific form Jesus gave for Christians to work together for God’s glory. As we gather together as a body of believers, gathering together in remembrance of Him, disciples are developed, lives are changed, and God is glorified. Take a moment to prayerfuly review the opportunities listed below to consider how you might become better connected at Veritas.

Fellowship is a key way to draw closer as a church body. At Veritas we try to minimize the number and length of activities to allow our members to minister to family and friends. So, when we do hold a worship service, meeting, or a class you will find it intently focused upon God honoring teaching, prayer, or other activities. You won’t find events-just-for-events sake at Veritas. Get to know Veritas better by visiting our “Event Calendar”.

 Community Groups

God exists in community. He is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Likewise, God created people to interact with and love one another. At Veritas, one of the ways we interact and love one another is through “community group” gatherings. On a weekly basis, people meet in homes to eat together, pray together, and talk about Jesus. You don’t have to be a church member or even a Christian to attend one of these groups – everyone’s welcome. Visit our “Community Group” page to view a list and locations of currently active community groups.

 Men’s Fellowship

As iron sharpens iron, Veritas men gather together to challenge one another at our monthly Men’s Fellowship. Meeting at the church on the second Saturday of the month, we spend time discussing a culturally-relevant issue or current article, book excerpt,  or scripture passage. This is not a formal bible study, but rather an opportunity to speak with other men about what it means to live as a Christian, and how Biblical truths specifically apply to the problems of daily life. Since it is 6:30 am, we typically share breakfast,  commonly closing by praying for each other. If you are interested in finding out more about our Men’s Fellowship, click the button below.

 Women’s Fellowship

Veritas women gather together each month to love and support one another at our Women’s Fellowship. Meeting at various homes on the third Saturday of each month, we spend time discussing a culturally-relevant issue, article, book excerpt,  or scripture passage. This is a fellowship, not a formal bible study – our focus here is to discuss and share with other women what it means to live as a Christian, and how the Bible the the gospel applies to the problems we face as single women, wives, mothers of young children, or older adults. We typically close our meeting by breaking into small groups to share and pray for one another. If you would like more information regarding out Women’s Fellowship, click the button below.

Children are cherished at Veritas church, and we value them as a central part of our community. Children of all ages are encouraged to be with us anytime during the worship service. We worship together with our children for the initial portion of the service, and children aged five and under are (optionally) dismissed their to Sunday school classes after about 30 minutes. For details on the check-in or check-out process, more information on our children’s ministry curriculum, or for a better understand of our approach to ministering to children, please visit our Veritots (Veritas Children’s Ministry) page.

At Veritas, church membership is viewed as a being part and parcel with being a Biblical Christian. As Christians, we are members of the Church, which is also called “God’s household” (Ephesians 2:19) and the “Body of Christ” (Ephesians 1:22-23). Through Scripture we are implicitly called to commit and serve in a particular place within God’s household, taking place in the context of a local church. At Veritas, members are those who have publicly and voluntarily committed and submitted themselves to one another.

For more detail regarding why membership is highly regarded at Veritas, for more detail regarding the membership process, and for information regarding our Introduction to Veritas classes, please visit our Membership page.

Veritas church is committed to the proclamation through all the world of the whole counsel of God; his perfect, holy, just, and good law; the glorious gospel of His grace, and to defending of “the faith once for all delivered unto the saints”. The primary methods and means for the accomplishment of this purpose are prayer, and the public and private ministry of the Word of God. Missions Ministry

Veritas church exists for the glory of God. Through teaching, prayer, worship, and loving one another well, God is glorified. More than an abstract theological concept, our love for one another is made real by working together through the messy activities of everyday life. Church Community Builder (CCB) is an online tool designed to make this process a little less messy, by providing a suite of communication and service tools. Using an approach similar to a private Facebook, CCB builds community through improved one-to-one and group communications. CCB tools for service, include volunteer scheduling tools and the automation of the check-in/check-out process for children’s ministry. To find out more about CCB, or to request a new CCB account, click the button below.
